News / All good things come to an end

02.08.2021

Time has gone by so fast. The fantastic Sails 2021 weekend came to an end. These were three days of great fun that we had been waiting longingly for. It is a pity that our carousel of emotions stopped. Still, fortunately, memories remain in our hearts and on the internet.

It's time to leave the friendly Szczecin port. Behind us, there is a fantastic weekend in the company of beautiful sailing ships, spent in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rich artistic program made it possible to play, dance, sing, and actively participate from morning until late at night. In the Children's Zone, kids could show off their musical skills, learn to play Brazilian drums, practice yoga, and show creativity and talent. The greatest hits of the Polish shanties resounded on the shanty and folk scene. In the vicinity of the Craft Beer Zone, you could taste beers, the taste of which might have surprised you. Golden lagers, dark wheat potatoes, characteristic porters and many others were waiting for the lovers of the hop drink.

A colourful roller coaster, literally and figuratively speaking, is nothing more than funfairs, which were very popular, especially among young people. The enormous Wheel of Szczecin, the 80-meter carousel and the giant propeller were among the most popular attractions. Akustyczeń in July? It turns out that it is possible! Undefined musicians made the audience dance. It was similar on Grodzka Island.

The Sails were also an excellent opportunity to award prizes to the best sailors. The 5th Szczecin International Sailing Awards were presented onboard the Russian sailing ship Shtandart. On Sunday, the Baltic Regatta was held at the Dar Młodzieży. During the Sails, we also got to know the winning orchestra of the 4th Brass Bands Festival for the Cup of the President of the City of Szczecin. The cup went to the "Lviv Fanfare" Brass Band.

Our event is coming to an end. But photos, videos and memories will remind us of it for a long time. So remember that you will be able to VIRTUALLY enjoy it long after the end of our event.
